Jammin’ June
Ecoscaping our grounds
Itโs that time of year again when we focus on growth and care for our surroundings. We are amazed at how much more beautiful our landscape becomes every year.ย
Flowerbed Slideshow
This transformation doesnโt occur by chance; it requires the dedication of our caring staff, who use their gardening expertise to create a magical environment. As we look around the valley, which is often parched with limited water sources, it truly feels like a blessing to roll around on the grass and witness the vibrant flowers blooming.
This season, we are fortunate to have a visiting expert named Brian, who remains quietly humble while expressing gratitude towards all our staff for their efforts in enhancing our beauty. With his knowledge, we are incorporating more ecoscaping techniques into our practices.
What is Ecoscaping?
Ecoscaping combines landscape architecture and environmental science to create sustainable design and construction. It focuses on environmental sustainability and ecological balance.
An example of ecoscaping includes planting barriers to protect smaller plants from wind damage or creating rock dams in areas where water naturally pools to help plants that thrive in wetter conditions. We use local plants that are well-suited to our dry environment.
Here are some common methods for creating an ecoscaping environment:
- Planting native plants
- Improving soil health
- Conserving water
- Creating thriving ecosystems
Each year, the ecosystem will thrive more and more! Come visit us and witness the progress as the plant beings thrive.ย

Guest Therapist – Avery Runner
We have a new guest therapist here! Avery specializes in vibrational therapy. He provides soothing and relaxed sessions, using tuning forks, singing bowls, rattles, and sound healing tools collected from diverse cultures and modalities.
Avery provides complete tune-up services and therapy to balance your electromagnetic field. (Electromagnetic fields combine invisible electric and magnetic fields of force. They are generated by natural phenomena like the Earth’s magnetic field, but also by human activities, mainly through the use of electricity.)
Aura Tune integrates many masterful modalities, including:
- Biofield Tuning of Eileen Day McKusick
- Planetary Frequencies of Hans Cousto
- Human Tuning of John Beaulieu
- Tao of Sound of Fabian Maman
- Various sound healing techniques from Pythagoras, Australian Aboriginals, Alchemists, Hazrat Inayat Khan, and dozens of well-established teachers and traditional sound healing systems.
Avery will be visiting us on June 28 & 29. Please call us today to book a session.ย
Dark Sky Dates
Below, we have included a list of dates you may wish to observe for dark sky viewing.ย
- June 10 – Full Moon
- June 21 – June Solsticeย
- June 25 – New Moon
Thereโs nothing like the wonder of a constellation-filled sky, with celestial bodies lighting up the night. And when it comes to stargazing, thatโs the only type of light you want to see. Areas with little to no light pollution are sought for clear viewing opportunities. Special steps include adding shielding units to outdoor lights so that light is being directed down and not up, minimizing blue lights, and limiting the luminance levels from area signage, to name a few. DarkSky identifies places with high-quality nighttime environments and advocates for conservation and managing outdoor lighting to help protect these areas and keep them enjoyable for stargazing.
