Are you ready to get into the Halloween spirit?? We are also!! We are having our annual Halloween contest and will open up guest voting for the winners!

Guidestone Colorado Pumpkin Patch & Harvest Festival
Guidestone’s Annual Pumpkin Patch & Harvest Festival is a celebration of community and the harvest season, and Guidestone’s largest fundraiser of the year. Proceeds from the Pumpkin Patch support the delivery of education programs, continued preservation efforts, and general operations of the Hutchinson Homestead and Learning Center, Guidestone’s homebase of operations.
Activities include wagon rides to the pumpkin patch, a free pumpkin with each child’s ticket, a straw bale maze, crafts, drinks and snacks, farmyard friends, games, cider press, hand stenciling, and live music! https://guidestonecolorado.org
Halloween Bash at the Brew Pub

If you want to make delicious local beer a part of your Halloween plans, look no further than the San Luis Valley Brewing Co. They will have live music by Sam Pace and the Gilded Grit. The band is staple in the Austin music scene and they are famous for their relentless 50-city U.S. Tours- the band has an old school work ethic with the chops to match.
Lou Dog & Friends Costume Party
October 31 7pm-10pm
Make your dog a part of this year’s Halloween celebration! Get your furry friend in their best costume and visit Lou Dog at Square Peg Brewerks. There will be prizes for the best pet costume and Lou Dog Lager will be on tap for their pet parents to enjoy!
The Haunted Manor

If you’re in the mood for a good scare, then The Haunted Manor is the place to be! As the night goes on, The Haunted Manor will turn up the fright. From 5pm to 7pm, you can expect a kid-friendly atmosphere with the lights on, treats and mild scares. From 7pm to 9pm, it will be a little scarier, then from 9pm to 11pm, things really get scary (adult diapers are available!). This haunted house is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. You can find it behind the Green Spot in the old Valley Moving & Storage Building.
Asylum ASU Nursing Department

Asylum, a haunted house put on by ASU’s Nursing Department another great option if you’re looking for a good scare this Halloween. Admission is $5, but you can get $1 off with a donation of a canned food item or winter coat.
CASA Presents Dia de Los Muertos
Nielsen Library, Adams State University
November 2 5:30pm
It’s time to truly immerse youself in the Dia de Los Muertos traditions, with a Catrina & Calavera contest, food, mariachi, dance performance and traditional altar display at Alamosa’s local University.

Looking to work off some of your Halloween treats? Why not participate in CASA’s Dia de Los Muertos Fun Run? There’s a 2K for kids and a 5K for adults. This is a run in remembrance of your loved ones, so bring a photo to place at the altar. Registration begins at 9:30 am, and it is $15 for kids and $20 for adults.
Story Slam! Halloween Edition
Narrow Gauge Book Cooperative

If you want to hear some scary stories, or have some of your own to share, check out the Narrow Gauge Book Cooperative’s Halloween-themed Story Slam! Story tellers drop their name in a hat and are chosen at random to share. Participant s have 5 minutes to share their best (TRUE) stories related to the theme.
